Siglent improves on SSA3000X spectrum analysers

Author: EIS Release Date: Oct 15, 2019

Siglent has launched a ‘plus’ series of spectrum analysers that improve upon the specs of its existing SSA3000X instruments.

Called ‘SSA3000X-plus’, they are available in bandwidths of 2.1GHz and 3.2GHz and include a 10.1in touch screen.

Bandwidths go from 9kHz to 2.1GHz or 3.2GHz, with the smallest resolution bandwidth (RBW) of 1Hz and
-161dBm displayable noise level, according to the firm, which said: “Together with the amplitude accuracy of <0.7dB, even the smallest signals just above the noise of the device can be detected and measured.”

Options include:

  • Advance measurement kit (SSA3000X plus-AMK) – Electronics Weekly has asked for clarification on the what is included.
  • Vector signal analysis (SSA3000X plus-AMA/DMA) – analogue and digital modulations. “This can be used, for example, to measure the error vector magnitude of PSK, MSK or QAM modulated signals,” according to the firm.

An external mouse and keyboard can be connected, and there is an integrated web server.
