Omron Electronic Components Europe has appointed Easby Electronics to stock and support its range of sensors and electromechanical components in the UK for the IoT. The distribution agreement includes MEMS based sensors for environmental monitoring, building automation and industrial automation applications. The distributor also offers Telit IoT modules and Raystar displays.
Many of the sensor technologies available are based on MEMS manufacturing. Sensors for measuring temperature, humidity and other characteristics to ensure light and heat, as well as sensors to monitor the air quality and capacity/occupancy of spaces are included in the portfolio. The range includes Omron’s Human vision Component, for touchless access control. The HVC-P2 offers 10 integrated image sensing functions and is intended for use in digital signage, home and office automation and security applications.
The agreement also makes the D6T MEMS thermal sensor available. This provides contactless temperature measurement for industrial processes and can be used to highlight the development of hot spots and detect occupancy levels. Another product for the development of the IoT is the 2JCE multi-function environmental sensor that allows designers to monitor seven parameters from a single sensor.
There will also be support for the company’s pressure, flow, vibration and tilt sensors, electromechanical relays, micro switches, MOSFET relays, DIP switches, photo-micro sensors and connectors.
