Qualcomm has come up with a chip for smartwatches called Wear 4100.
It is made on a 12 nm process and has four 1.7GHz Cortex A53 CPUs.
A “+” version of the chip is for watches with an always-on displsy.
It has dual DSPs which deliver, says Qualcomm “optimal workload partitioning, support for dynamic clock and voltage scaling, Qualcomm Sensor Assisted Positioning PDR Wearables 2.0, low power location tracking support, and an enhanced Bluetooth 5.0 architecture.”
It has dual ISPs with support for 16MP sensors.
Connectivity options are LTE, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11n, and Bluetooth 5.
