The organiser of Southern Manufacturing & Electronics has confirmed that the event will be returning to Farnborough International on Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 April 2021. The annual show is usually held earlier in the year but has been rescheduled to avoid conflict with other events is 2021 which have been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
ETES reported a record-breaking attendance and exhibitor numbers for 2020’s event in February this year. The engineering exhibition will take place at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre. Explaining the reason for the change of date, director Phil Valentine said, the decision was taken to maximise return on investement for exhibitors and visitors: ” The first quarter of the exhibition calendar in 2021 is crowded with events postponed from their 2020 show dates. . . We believe this decision will allow the show to take place under much more favourable economic and social conditions while also enabling all concerned to plan more effectively towards achieving a rewarding and successful event.”
Many exhibitors have rebooked already for 2021 and the show is close to capacity, says the company.
