Tim Cook, Jeff Bezos, Sundar Pichai and Mark Zuckerberg – the CEOs of Apple, Amazon, Google and Facebook – face a virtual grilling by the US government’s House Antitrust Subcommittee at 5pm (UK time) tonight.
The hearing is to determine whether they are unfairly hurting competitors.
However, they are also likely to be confronted with allegations of allowing election meddling, helping to spread fake news, failing to protect vulnerable users, and of developing addictive technology.
