TSMC’s July revenues were 12.3% down on June‘s at $3.5 billion.
Revenue totalled $24.72 billion for the first seven months of the year, rising 33.6% from the same period in 2019.
TSMC expects revenues of between $11.2 billion and $11.5 billion in Q3 2020, which is a 9.3% sequential increase at the midpoint.
Strong demand for the foundry’s 5nm and 7nm technologies, driven by 5G smartphones, HPC and IoT-related applications, will buoy its sales performance during the third quarter, says CFO Wendell Huang.
