Nvidia is building a supercomputer called Cambridge-1 which will be running by the end of this year.
“The Cambridge-1 supercomputer will serve as a hub of innovation for the UK, and further the groundbreaking work being done by the nation’s researchers in critical healthcare and drug discovery,” said CEO Jen Hsun Huang (pictured) earlier today.
GSK, AstraZeneca, Oxford Nanopore and Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals will be the first to use the machine.
The Cambridge-1 is an NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD system capable of more than 400 petaflops making it the 29th most powerful supercomputer in the world.
