Graphcore reported to be raising another $200m

Graphcore is reported by Bloomberg to be raising about $200 million which would take the company’s total funding to around $660 million.

Investors include Baillie Gifford, Mayfair Equity Partners, and M&G Investments in a funding round which would value Graphcore at over $2 billion.
In February this year, in what Graphcore called an ‘extension’ to its series D, the company raised $150 million at a valuation of $1.95 billion. 
That took the total capital raised by Graphcore to $460 million and Graphcore’s cash in hand to $300 million.

In 2018 Graphcore’s series D had raised $200 million backed by Microsoft, BMW, C4 Ventures,Samsung, Sofina, Merian Global  and Dell. 
That round took the amount raised by Graphcore to $300 million.
In 2017, Graphcore had two funding rounds – a series B in July led by Atomico which raised $30 million, and a series C in November led by Sequoia which raised $50 million.
Graphcore’s series A in 2016 raised $30 million from Bosch, Amadeus, Samsung, Pitango Capital, Draper Esprit and Foundation Capital.
Other Graphcore investors are: Demis Hassabis of DeepMind, Greg Brockman, Pieter Abbeel, Ilya Sutskever, Zoubin Gharamani, Scott Gray and Ahren Innovation Capital.
