STMicroelectronics' compact buck converter evaluation board features minimal BOM, high efficiency, and low standby consumption

Image of STMicroelectronics STEVAL-VP319X1B Buck Converter Reference DesignSTMicroelectronics' compact 5 V / 3 W buck converter evaluation board features minimal BOM, high efficiency, and low standby consumption from 85 VAC to 265 VAC input, which can be widened to 40 VAC to 265 VAC by increasing the input bulk capacitor size. The design is based on the VIPERP319X offline high-voltage converter with 800 V avalanche-rugged power MOSFET, PWM current-mode control, fixed 30 kHz switching frequency with jittering, and burst mode for light load management.

Features
