Transphorm's TDTTP2500B066B-KIT 2.5 kW, bridgeless totem-pole PFC evaluation board achieves very high-efficiency single-phase AC/DC conversion. Using GaN FETs in the fast-switching leg of the circuit and low-resistance MOSFETs in the slow-switching leg of the circuit results in improved performance and efficiency. This evaluation board integrates a Microchip dsPIC33CK digital signal controller (DSC) board with pre-programmed firmware off-the-shelf that is backed by Microchip’s global technical support team along with Transphorm’s application support capabilities. The DSC comes with free use of Microchip’s embedded design tools within the intuitive MPLAB® X integrated development environment.
