Toshiba’s TC78H660FTG 2-channel low-voltage compact brushed motor driver is suitable for batteries or 12 V powered industrial, consumer, and devices that need high integration. TC78H660FTG can control two brushed motors independently from 2.5 V to 16 V with 2.0 A current handling capability per channel. The part features an advanced current detection system (ACDS) that eliminates the need for a sense resistor, saving cost and board space. The TC78H660FTG provides flexibility in controlling the speed in either direct PWM for simplicity or constant current PWM for pulse width modulating at defined current level. The TC78H660xxx series is offered in a compact and thermally efficient QFN16 3 mm x 3 mm (TC78H660FTG) package or the user-friendly TSSOP16 (TC78H660FNG) package.
