Digi-Key adds 500 suppliers and 125,000 SKUs in 2021

Digi-Key Electronics is highlighting how it expanded its portfolio in 2021 by adding more than 500 new suppliers across its core business, along with adding more than 125,000 new SKUs in 2021.

 

Some of the key companies added to its portfolio in 2021 include Siemens, Schneider and QuickLogic. The addition of more than 500 new ones brings Digi-Key’s total to more than 2,000 suppliers available worldwide, with 12.6 million unique products, it says.

“Even with the difficulties of this year and suppliers having to deal with many abnormal factors,” said Digi-Key’s vp of global supplier management, David Stein, “we had the ability to onboard more than 500 suppliers to ensure we have the latest products to support the needs this year and in 2022 of the global engineering community.”

 

The company flagged the role of its Fulfilled by Digi-Key programme in bringing the new third-parties on board and providing the capabilities of a 3PL warehouse (when elements of distribution, warehousing and fulfillment services are outsourced by one company to a third-party).
