TI bullish on Q3

TI has given an upbeat Q3 revenue forecast of $4.94 billion to $5.3 billion

 

Q2 revenue was up 14.2% at $5.2 billion for a net profit of $2.29 billion which was up 19% y-o-y.

 

 Q2 analogue sales rose 15% y-o-y to $3.99 billion.

 

Sales of embedded processors rose 5% y-o-y to $821 million.

 

TI manufactures about 80% of its chips in-house and is extending its fab capacity. In May it broke ground on the first of a planned four fab site in Sherman, Texas  (pictured above) potentially costing  $30 billion
