Meeting its deadline of having 5G in 20 cities before 2020 by the skin of its teeth, O2 switched on 5G in 13 new cities on December 31st.
The new additions were: Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle, Bradford, Sheffield, Coventry, Nottingham, Norwich, Bristol, Derby and Stoke.
By the end of 2020 O2 plans to have 50 cities with 5G.
EE has switched on 5G in 50 towns and cities.
Vodafone’s 5G service is available in 30 UK towns and cities.
