IC lead times down by a day

IC lead times fell by one day in August to 26.8 weeks, says Susquehanna Financial Group.
 
“We believe over-ordering trends and inventory builds have yet to work through the system, says Susquehanna analyst Chris Rolland,
 
The lead-times for PMICs, MCUs and opto are still extended, he says.
 
Rolland adds that it would be ‘healthy’ for the semiconductor industry if it got back to 10- to 14-week lead times.
 
The SOX has fallen 33% this year and Future Horizons is expecting a 22% fall in the chip market next year.
