Rugged M8 connectors for industrial Ethernet and Profibus

CUI Devices has introduced circular panel-mount M8 connectors for industrial Ethernet and Profibus.

In the CDM8 family, as it will be known, there are male or female jack versions, all with IP67 ratings for harsh environments, with 3, 4, 5, 6, or 8 pins, coded A for 1Gbit/s Ethernet or B coded for Profibus.

 

So far, there are 69 members, offering many combinations of termination (PCB pin, crimped PCB pin or wire lead) and thread pitches (M8 x 0.5mm, M8 x 0.75mm, M8 x 1mm, M10 x 0.75mm or M11 x 1mm).

 

Operation is across -25 to 80°C, and up to either 30Vac (5, 6, 8 position) or 60Vac (3, 4 position), and 1.5A (6 ot 8 position) or 3A (3, 4, 5 position).

 

On top of this, custom coding is available.
