Anglia donates £17,000 to local Wisbech community

Anglia Components, the Cambridge-based distributor, has donated £17,000 to local community causes in the Wisbech region following fundraising.

Anglia makes an annual contribution to local charities, taking nominations from its staff to choose two charities to support. For 2022 the beneficiaries chosen were the East Anglian Air Ambulance and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

 

A sum of £6,000 was raised through a range of internal fundraising events, including a Jubilee Raffle, Christmas Jumper Day, donations instead of Christmas Cards, and the Christmas Party Raffle. An additional £10,000 was donated by Anglia.

 

The distributor also made a £1,000 donation to the Wisbech and Fenland Museum, one of the oldest museums in the UK and an independent charity.

 

“Our annual fundraising is something we are hugely proud of at Anglia,” said the CEO, Steve Rawlins. “It’s vital that we give back to the Wisbech community, especially as so many of our employees are from the area. We’re pleased to support such outstanding causes this year with our fundraising.”
