The DRE480 series from Chinfa operates at 94% efficiency, and is designed for utilisation in space-constrained industrial applications.

The power supplies are now available from specialist distributor, Relec Electronics. The DIN-Rail mountable supplies are available two in variants, the 24V DRE480-24A and 48V DRE480-48A, with adjustment ranges up to 28V and 56V respectively.

In addition to typical efficiency of 94% (DRE480-48A; 93% for the DRE-48024A), the power supplies can supply 480W at up to 55°C and up to 720W for either three seconds or a 20% duty cycle. Input ranges from 90 to 264Vac.

The devices measure 124×8.35x116mm and feature switch-selectable parallel function.

All models can be parallel connected with active current sharing for applications with higher power requirements.

The products are part of the DRA/DRE series of industrial power supplies. Target applications include factory automation, industrial and building controls, door entry systems and instrumentation, as well as electromagnetic drives, fans and other DC loads.

The series carries a manufacturer’s three-year warranty and is approved to UL, cUL, TUV and CE certifications. All Chinfa DIN-Rail power supplies are approved to EN/UL62368-1 and meet industrial norms for EMC emissions and immunity, the manufacturer says.
