Fast intrinsic safety fuses are 3 x 8.4mm

Bel Fuse is aiming at hazardous environments with a series of 3 x 8.4mm fast-acting ceramic tube fuses.

Type 0AMA fuses are designed for barrier circuits in intrinsic safety applications – particularly medical and industrial hazardous locations.

 

They have “a patented design that allows them to withstand surges and excess over-current without blowing out prematurely or failing at higher temperatures.”, said the company.

 

Interrupting rating is 4kA at 250Vac/dc, and they can operate across -55°C to +125°C.

 

40, 50, 63, 80, 100, 125, 160, 200 and 250mA types are available,

 

They meet electrical performance specifications for intrinsically safe (EN60079-11) applications, and also comply with EU Directive 2011/65/EU and amending directive 2015/863. The series also has UL Recognition for the US and Canada.
