Will the recovery be L-shaped, U-shaped or V-shaped?

In January 2020 global IC sales were up 79% y-o-y, says IC Insights,

But that was before Covid-19. Now it has re-assessed the impact of the virus on the IC industry,

Will the virus merely be a short-term event that leads to a quick V-shape recovery.

Or is it more likely to be a U-shaped recovery—one with a couple of quarters of seasonally average growth before a stronger upturn takes hold?

Or, is it reasonable to think that an L-shaped market outlook is ahead for the IC market?
