Tenstorrent raises $100m to take total funding to $334.5m

Tenstorrent, a Canadian AI chip startup, has raised $334.5 million and expects to have another funding round next year.

The company focusses on using RISC-V architectures for its chips. Intel Chief Architect Raja Koduri joined the company in April.
Hyundai provided $30 million of this week’s $100 million funding round, and Kia provided $20 million with the rest coming from Samsung, Fidelity Ventures, Eclipse Ventures, Epiq Capital and Maverick Capital among others.
In May, the company announced a deal to make TV chips for LG. The company is also targeting data centre ICs.
