The International Counterfeit Electronics & Materials Symposium and Workshop, on 4-5 March 2024 in Coventry, will be jointly hosted by the Anti-Counterfeiting Forum, CALCE and SMTA.
International anti-Counterfeit bodies call for papers for 2024 Coventry SymposiumThe organisers aim to provide a provide a platform for interested parties to “thwart the abilities of counterfeiters and other bad actors to attack the supply chain”.
For the event, the organisers are now seeking abstracts for presentations from interested parties, and guidance on how to submit an abstract, including a summary of the topics of interest, can be found here.
Threats
Example topics of interest include, for example: Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), Classification Tools for Components and Suppliers; Machine Vision Utilisation; Assembly Level Counterfeits and Their Detection; and Traceability Technologies and Adoption.

The deadline for submissions is 15 November, and the venue for the symposium will be the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry.
The organisers summarise:
“This international event will again feature domain expert speakers from Europe, the UK and USA and will focus on current trends and threats and new developments in combating counterfeits in the supply chain. As well as current and emerging new threats, delegates will also be able to hear about current and developing best practice for the management of counterfeits in the supply chain, current and developing new methods for the detection of counterfeits and how to access further information.”
This will be the second edition of the symposium, with the first being held in March this year.
Anti-Counterfeit Organisers
The Anti-Counterfeiting Forum helps to develop and disseminate best practice to mitigate against the threat of counterfeits in the electronic and electrical supply chains. It works closely with a number of Government and industry bodies and attending a number of relevant Government / industry forums, and organises counterfeit awareness seminars and presentations at relevant industry events.
