United Monolithic Semiconductors has introduced a 24.25 – 30.5GHz combined output power amplifier, input low-noise amplifier and transit-receive switch.
Richardson RF amplifier
Called CHC6054-QQA, it is manufactured from AlGaN/GaN-on-SiC (gallium nitride on silicon carbide) and gallium arsenide die, both from 150mm wafers. Packaging is 4 x 5mm QFN.
CHC6054-QQA2 rf amplifierIt “typically exhibits an Rx gain of 18dB with a noise figure of 3.2dB, and a Tx gain of 28dB with +31dBm saturated output power”, according to component distributor Richardson RFPD, which is stocking the part. “It features high linearity with an ACPR of -36dBc at +23dBm average Pout.”
The +31dBm saturated output power is at 5dB gain compression, Rx input P1dB is -7dBm and error vector magnitude is under 3.5% at a channel spacing of 56 or 112MHz up to 1,024QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation).
Applications are foreseen in telecom radio systems.
