Q4 contract prices for mobile DRAM are expected to rise 13–18%, says TrendForce, while the contract prices of eMMC and UFS NAND are expected increase by 10–15% .
The rises are attributed, on the supply side, to Samsung’s production cut and Micron’s price hike of over 20%.
On the demand side, later in 2023 mobile DRAM and NAND Flash (eMMC, UFS) prices were boosted by the traditional peak season and the the Huawei Mate 60 series which has prompted other Chinese smartphone brands to expand their production targets.
For Q1 2024, TrendForce anticipates continued growth in contract prices for mobile DRAM and eMMC and UFS NAND.
