TSMC had revenue in the July-September period of $23.62 billion – up 36% on the $17.3 billion of Q3 2023.

TSMC is now making half of its revenues from HPC, and HPC growth is driven by AI ICs, demand for which eventually depends on whether large AI investors like Apple, Meta, Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon etc find paying customers for AI products to defray their heavy investments in the technology.

TSMC reports full Q3 results on October 17th.
