SynaXG, Arm and Keysight hook up to improve O-RAN energy efficiency

Author: EIS Release Date: Mar 12, 2025

SynaXG,  Keysight  Technologies and  Arm have combined to optimise O-RAN energy efficiency through realistic carrier-grade traffic testing and validation.

This partnership integrates Keysight’s open radio access network architect (KORA) apptoach with SynaXG’s  O-DU/CU, using Arm Neoverse IP  to reduce power consumption and improve network sustainability for both public and private 5G networks.

The expansion of O-RAN infrastructure requires smarter power management solutions to reduce energy costs while ensuring high performance. SynaXG’s Arm-based O-DU/CU has undergone extensive 24+ hour carrier-grade traffic testing using Keysight’s KORA solutions confirming:

Advanced Energy Efficiency – Optimized software and performance-efficiency of the Arm architecture reduce power consumption by up to 30%, cutting operational costs for telecom operators.
Validated Carrier-Grade Performance – Long-duration testing under realistic network traffic ensures seamless operation at scale.
By integrating Keysight’s KORA solutions, SynaXG ensures O-RAN deployments meet stringent energy efficiency benchmarks while maintaining carrier-grade reliability. The power-efficient Arm architecture enables operators to deploy at scale while reducing power demand.
