Rutronik has added a lower power Epson 32.768kHz crystal to its line up.

Power saving from the FC1610BN comes from its low ESR (effective series resistance) which is typically 45kΩ at +25°C, a maximum of 60kΩ over -40 to +85°C and a maximum of 70kΩ up to +105°C.

Its surface-mount package measures 1.6 x 1mm and is ceramic with a metal, instead of glass, lid.

“They reliably tolerate operating temperatures from -40 °C to +105 °C and are currently the most power-efficient solution – ideal for ubiquitous applications including radio modules and MCUs for sub-clocks,” said the distributor.
