“Despite its compact size, the board offers full-sized functionality, able to deliver the flexibility of a desktop system in a compact form factor,” according to Aaeon, the manufacturer. “GENE-WHU6 is built to provide performance beyond its size. It combines this processing power with up to 32Gbyte of DDR4 SODIMM RAM.”
IO includes four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports and up to two COM ports supporting RS-232/422/485. Display connections are HDMI 2.0, VGA and LVDS.

Operation is over 9V to 36V (there is a 12V only option) and 0°C to 60°C.
Applications in smart manufacturing, intelligent safety and security are expected. “GENE-WHU6 allows users the ability to deploy a compact solution that retains the functionality of larger machines,” said Aaeon product manager Menah Lin. “With greater flexibility and functionality than what other form factors support, the GENE-WHU6 delivers the power your embedded project requires.”
