Coilcraft’s XGL4030 Series of 4 x 4 x 3mm moulded power inductors are aimed at DC-DC converters with switching frequencies ranging from hundreds of kHz to 5MHz and above.
There are 18 values between 130nH and 12µH, with current ratings up to 26.5A (130nH 25°C 30% induction loss) and soft saturation characteristics. The lowest value is 1.35A (12µH 10% loss).
Dc resistance ranges from 1.5Ω to 78.5Ω nominal.
Max current handling for a 40°C temperature rise is 27Arms (130nH).
The inductors are qualified to AEC-Q200 Grade 1 standards (-40 to +125°C ambient) with a maximum part operating temperature of +165°C and “exhibit no thermal ageing issues, making them suitable for automotive and other harsh-environment applications”, according to the company. “They feature RoHS-compliant, tin-silver-over-copper terminations and are halogen free. Their composite construction also minimises audible buzzing.
