Exxelia’s CH series of surface-mount ceramic capacitors are designed with high Q-factor and stable operation for rf applications in medical MRI scanners, scientific, industrial and cellular base stations
Options ranging across 0.1pf to 1,000pF and 50V to 1500V are available with low ESR, high-Q and high self-resonant frequencies (see graphs).
They are “available with nickel or non-magnetic copper barrier and tinning. Ribbon leads are also available for surface mounting. Circuit applications for the series include dc-to-rf conversion, matching networks and tuning, coupling and DC blocking”, according to New Yorker Electronics, which is stocking the parts.
Exxelia Technologies (formerly Eurofarad) has a other series of MLCCs.
NHB Series uses NPO dielectric material and is intended to be high-Q range, high-self-resonant frequency and limited parasite parallel resonant frequencies. The parts are for high power and high frequency applications such as cellular base stations, broadband wireless, point-to-point radios, point-to-multi-point radios and broadcasting equipment.

CNW Series is for hf and rf power communications applications and have a range of solderable terminations: options include gold on nickel barrier, dipped nickel barrier, silver ribbon leads or tinned copper leads.
SH Series are the firm’s lowest ESR and highest working voltage (1,500V) option. They are aimed at cellular base stations, broadband wireless, point-to-point, point-to-multi-point radios and rf generators.
SHR-SHD Series is a 500V reverse geometry capacitor range intended to have high self resonance frequency and enhanced reliability. Operation is up to 175°C.
