Intel has received worker safety complaints about its fabs in Arizona, New Mexico and Oregon fabs, reports Bloomberg.
In March and April, the Occupational Safety and Health division of Oregon received more than 40 virus-related complaints about Intel plants in Hillsboro and elsewhere.
The complaints accuse Intel of not enforcing social-distancing rules, not providing masks to workers and letting employees with symptoms return to work without providing proof they tested negative for Covid-19.
Four complaints are reported to be still under investigation, and only one has been fully closed.
The Arizona complaint, relating to Intel’s Chandler fab, is being investigated by the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
The New Mexico public health authorities are investigating covid-related complaints about safety practices at Intel’s Rio Rancho fab complex.
